Softball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Sachse's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Sachse's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rockwall Yellowjackets, falling 10-4. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maya Mcclarity was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Sachse's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Rockwall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-15 record this season.

While Sachse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
