The Mesa Jackrabbits are taking a road trip to challenge the Liberty Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mesa will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Mesa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Pinnacle with points to spare, taking the game 51-37. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mesa found their leader in freshman Jakyi Miles, who shot 5-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Miles' big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Thomas Moritz also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Mesa was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 19-3 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Liberty earned a 65-53 win over Hamilton on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Liberty's win came from a few key players Mesa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Hunter, who went 7-for-14 en route to 20 points and seven boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was TJ Harris, who posted 12 points.
Mesa's record now sits at 21-7. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 18-10.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Mesa hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.2 points per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've been averaging 69 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Mesa won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2021, slipping by Liberty 58-57. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Liberty's Caden Hunter, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 23 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be easier for Mesa to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
