Given Aiken's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Ross is ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aiken's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaiden Arnold, who scored 12 points along with six assists and four steals. Justin Hawkins was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Aiken's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Ross, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
Aiken's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hughes at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hughes is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Ross, they will be playing at home against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four matchups.
