Tyler Ruete posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Ruete and Simon Kenton will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamstown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers are a perfect 10-0 against the Demons going back to March of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
