The Trinity Christian Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wellsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Trinity Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Trinity Christian pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Grafton by a score of 64-61. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Bearcats are ranked 48th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chayce Adams, who scored 24 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 21 or more points the last four times he's played. Carter Hartsock was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
Trinity Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Wellsville won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by David Anderson 65-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wellsville has scored all season.
Trinity Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Wellsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Trinity Christian was taken down by the Tigers 72-44 in their previous matchup back in February of 2017. Will Trinity Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
