The Darlington Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Camden at home by a decisive 62-44 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Darlington in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.
Joyce Edwards was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 32 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks for Camden. Edwards is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Mungo, who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Darlington's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Camden, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Darlington will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake City is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Camden, they and the Bulldogs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Marlboro County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
