Pensacola Catholic added to the longest winning streak in 5A District 1 this week by beating Rickards, 41-38. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
West Florida and Godby played the most contested game in the league this week, with West Florida eventually emerging with a 41-40 victory.
Bay's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Xavier Longerbeam threw for 100 yards and Raekwon Webb had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Webb chipped in 295 yards. Michael Layfield helped Bay's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 37 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Jaguars and Pensacola Catholic. West Florida enters the contest ranked fifth in the state, while Greg Seibert's team ranks fourth.
Accruing a total of 17 touchdowns this year, Slade Jarmon has thrown for 1,892 yards with 10 interceptions.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Harry Lees' team takes on the Crusaders. The Jaguars have allowed 178 points this season, while Pensacola Catholic has given up 137. West Florida allowed 40 points last week as it beat the Cougars.
Arnold made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,734 from 5,228.
