After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, The Mission Heights Prep Phantoms finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They were beaten by Heritage Academy 49-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mission Heights Prep in their matchups with Heritage Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Rylend Doble threw for 52 yards on four of 11 attempts. Cade Riggs was his top target, gaining 67 total yards.
Heritage Academy was led to victory by Kaden Bergman and Mattson Young. Bergman picked up 173 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Young threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Bergman's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards.
Mission Heights Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Heritage Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Heights Prep will challenge Maricopa Institute of Technology at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maricopa Institute of Technology comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Heritage Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Canyon State Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
