The Creekview Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reedy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Creekview in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.
Reedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylen Mitro, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Jackson Langford was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Creekview's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Reedy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-17.
Creekview will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Newman Smith presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mustangs in Texas (the Trojans are ranked 114th, while the Mustangs are ranked 614th). As for Reedy, they will be playing at home against the Raccoons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
