After flying high against DMLK last Thursday, Gateway came back down to earth. The Gateway Olympians took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DSST: Montview Knights. Several Olympians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LaRayea Jones, who earned seven points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. Samari Williams was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Rimpson Mykah was a one-man wrecking crew for DSST: Montview as she dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 steals.
Gateway now has a losing record at 1-2. As for DSST: Montview, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
