Baseball Recap: Clovis Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Clovis got themselves on the board against Stockdale on Tuesday, but Stockdale never followed suit. They blew past the Mustangs 7-0. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 11-6 defeat.

Logan Georges tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Drake Davis was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Deep Chohan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Clovis' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Stockdale, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.

Looking ahead, Clovis will head out to square off against Sierra Pacific at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stockdale, they will face off against Redwood at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Rangers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
