Peyton Bailey Delivers Best Effort of Season
Tivy was led to victory by Peyton Bailey, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Bailey threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Tivy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Victoria West had to settle for second on Friday, but Tristan Bernard sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Bernard as he rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.
Victoria West's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. Bernard's next match is against Harlandale on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Another Boerne player making an appearance on this list is Hank Hendrix. He threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes.
