Sutter has gone a perfect 5-0 against Center recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Sutter will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Sutter came out on top against Vanden on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Vikings 6-5. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by just one run.

Mason McCall looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ezra Hilleary was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Landyn Singh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Center hadn't done well against Marysville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted against the Indians since April 20, 2022.
Center saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaidon Howerton-Abernathy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The Cougars are undefeated when Howerton-Abernathy posts two or more runs, but 7-9-1 otherwise. Another was Jason Bergman, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Sutter pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Center, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9-1.
Sutter took their victory against Center when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
