After losing to Stanfield the last time they met, Weston-McEwen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Weston-McEwen snuck past Stanfield with a 34-28 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Weston-McEwen as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The victory bumped Weston-McEwen's record up to 1-3. Stanfield are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Weston-McEwen will take on Riverside at home at 7:00 PM next week. The team will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Stanfield, they will face off against Grant Union. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
