If the Rochester Rockets were feeling good off their 60-32 takedown of the Jacksonville Crimsons last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rochester fell just short of Mt. Zion by a score of 47-44. Rochester was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Zion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Rochester lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Taylor Offer. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points. Offer scored a full 68.2% of Rochester's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Rochester is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Mt. Zion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charleston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
