The Socastee Braves''s game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed by Wando at home to the tune of 47-7. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Socastee's zero-point performance the match before.
Rocco Wojcik was a one-man wrecking crew for Socastee as he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Wojcik really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
Socastee's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Wando, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Socastee will head out on the road to face off against Fort Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Dorchester presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Socastee in South Carolina (Fort Dorchester is ranked 24th, while Socastee is ranked 111th). Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
