The Westminster Lions will head out on the road to take on the Tustin Tillers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Westminster knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Tustin likes a good challenge.
If Westminster beats Tustin with 13 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Lions walked away with a 13-10 win over Costa Mesa on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Alyna Guerrero, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Lily De La Riva was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westminster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 10-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Tustin earned a 6-1 victory over Calvary Chapel on Monday.
Emery Diaz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Samantha Reyes was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
Tustin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Tustin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Westminster hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Tustin, though, as they've only averaged .153. Will they be able to contain Westminster's hitters?
Everything went Westminster's way against Tustin in their previous matchup back in April, as Westminster made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
