Erie is 0-10 against Eureka since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Erie Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Eureka Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Erie can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-25 victory over Sedan.
It was another big night for Alexandra Pasquarelli, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jacksen Powell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Eureka had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-34 win over Bluestem on the road. Eureka has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 29 points or more this season.
Erie's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Eureka, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Erie took a serious blow against Eureka in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 64-29. Can Erie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
