Sussex Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Brunswick 22-20. This was payback for Sussex Central, who suffered a 21-18 loss the last time these two teams met.
Anthony Cropper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Cropper was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Sussex Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points per game. As for Brunswick, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
