Basketball Recap: Antonito Sets Scoring Season-High Against Moffat

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antonito). They secured a 45-40 W over the Moffat Cowboys on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Cowboys back in January, they had to take a 54-31 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antonito to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylan Trant, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Mascarenes, who scored ten points.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Preston Heater, who earned 16 points. Heater is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Diego Fries, who had 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Antonito's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Moffat, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Antonito didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-35 victory against Centennial on the 8th. As for Moffat, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-41 win against Lake City on the 8th.
