The West Florence Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Hartsville Red Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Florence is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
West Florence suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-30 loss at the hands of Wilson. While losing is never fun, West Florence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Wilson is ranked 15th).
Meanwhile, Hartsville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee Central.
West Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Hartsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
West Florence lost to Hartsville on the road by a decisive 56-42 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can West Florence avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
