After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sacred Heart Prep, the Priory Panthers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 59-55 W over Eastside College Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Priory found their leader in underclassman Teddy Xanthopoulos, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jai Georedette, who scored ten points.
Priory's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Eastside College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.
Priory will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. King's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in California (the Knights are ranked 170th, while the Panthers are ranked 603rd). As for Eastside College Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge the Gryphons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
