St. Mary's found their leader in sophomore Sophia Leivian, who threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 49 yards and one score. Sylvia Garcia also helped out with an impressive 84 receiving yards.
St. Mary's didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Annasophia Bowers led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Peoria's offense. They fell just short of Deer Valley by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
