Meanwhile, Woodgrove entered their tilt with Tuscarora with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Woodgrove snuck past Tuscarora with a 59-54 win on Wednesday.
Woodgrove got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colin Fuller out in front who scored 20 points. Dane Marsh was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for John Champe and bumps their season record up to 9-7. As for Woodgrove, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
John Champe skirted past Woodgrove 48-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will John Champe repeat their success, or does Woodgrove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
