Softball Recap: Pelion Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Pelion's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Savanna Padgett was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Jackson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pelion pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-5.

Pelion will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Batesburg-Leesville at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they will host Allendale-Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
