Prep Charter lost to High School of the Future back in January of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Prep Charter Huskies managed a 65-61 victory over High School of the Future. The win was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on six straight.
Prep Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alijah Hickman, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Hickman a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Davis, who posted 19 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds.
Several High School of the Future players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marcus Mickens, who earned 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kareem Chappelle, who scored 14 points.
Prep Charter's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for High School of the Future, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prep Charter will face off against Franklin Learning Center at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for High School of the Future, they will square off against Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
