The Unity Reed Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Park View Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Unity Reed comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Unity Reed took a serious blow against Osbourn, falling 63-6.
Meanwhile, Park View unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a hard 43-26 fall against Rock Ridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Park View has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Anna Helstrom, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Hurley, who scored six points along with five steals.
Park View struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Unity Reed bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.3 points per game. As for Park View, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-1.
