After flying high against the Orange Park Raiders last Monday, the University Christian Christians came back down to earth. University Christian fell just short of Creekside by a score of 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss University Christian has suffered yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Creekside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Presley Brinkley, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals. Brinkley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Jade Spivey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
University Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
University Christian and Ponte Vedra will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Creekside, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m.
