Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Enloe

Enloe waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hillside Hornets by a score of 7-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

William ?Will? Modlin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Modlin was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other pitching news, Cole Thomas tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

Back at the plate, Elijah ?Eli? Ferguson was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4. Dylan Hazen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Enloe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hillside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Enloe will venture away from home to face off against Middle Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Middle Creek has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hillside, they will be playing at home against Durham School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
