Plains is 8-2 against Seagraves since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Plains Cowboys will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seagraves Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Plains is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seagraves in Texas (Plains is ranked 316th, while Seagraves is ranked 1377th).
Even though Plains has not done well against Sundown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Plains secured a 50-44 W over Sundown.
Meanwhile, Seagraves' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Tahoka 41-3. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seagraves has scored all season.
Plains' victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Seagraves, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-15.
Everything came up roses for Plains against Seagraves when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 69-14 victory. Does Plains have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seagraves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
