The Tipton Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Adrian Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tipton comes in on four and Adrian on eight.
Last Thursday, Tipton got themselves on the board against Lone Jack/Kingsville, but Lone Jack/Kingsville never followed suit. They blew past the 50-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Tipton, who have now won six contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Adrian was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Cole Camp 55-6 on the road. The result was nothing new for Adrian, who have now won seven matches by 27 points or more so far this season.
Adrian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hunter Bailey, who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and Colton Miller, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Adrian also got help from Brock Ford who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Tipton has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight matchups, giving them a 7-1 record. As for Adrian, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0.
Tipton skirted past Adrian 19-16 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tipton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
