Tiftarea Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lane Cole, who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of John Robert Walker, who threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns.
Tiftarea Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which lines up perfectly with their 1-7-1 record this season. As for Southland Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
Tiftarea Academy will take on Terrell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Terrell Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Southland Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Deerfield-Windsor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Deerfield-Windsor is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
