Kennedy hadn't beaten Mission San Jose on the road since April 5, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Titans put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-1 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.
Marilyn Rivas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The victory made it two in a row for Kennedy and bumps their season record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for American, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
American suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Kennedy in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
