Softball Recap: Bishop Moore's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Bishop Moore got themselves on the board against Celebration on Monday, but Celebration never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Celebration Storm with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Annabelle Oehler and Bella Goldfried were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Oehler pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Goldfried struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. At the plate, Oehler went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Goldfried scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Goldfried has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Ariana Lara was incredible, firing off three doubles, four RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-4. Addison Gerhold was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Bishop Moore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Celebration only managed three hits.

The win snapped Bishop Moore's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Celebration, their record now sits at an identical 2-4.

Coming up, Bishop Moore will take on Davenport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Moore will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Celebration, they will challenge Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
