Basketball Recap: Taylor Gets the Win

While Taylor has struggled at home with six straight losses, that wasn't the case on Saturday thanks to Jallainah Harris. The Taylor Titans took their game with ease, bagging a 53-14 victory over the BELIEVE Circle City Cyclones thanks in part to Harris, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 17 points, to go along with five boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Another player making a difference was Ma'Leigha Smith, who posted eight points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

BELIEVE Circle City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justyce Hunt, who had eight points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cordarionna Kirkwood, who put up two points and three steals.

Taylor's win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Taylor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-27 loss against Frankton on the 2nd.
