Softball Recap: Lynden Christian Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Lynden Christian had won five straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 13-6 to make it six. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Ferndale Golden Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Lyncs, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Ferndale's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Pike, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynden Christian will face off against rival Mount Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lyncs 3.8, the Bulldogs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ferndale is set to challenge their familiar foe Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
