The matchup was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but Imani Christian Academy was outscored by Varsity Opponent in the second.
When it comes to explaining why Imani Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nate Brazil. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Barrnet, who scored eight points.
Imani Christian Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 22-5 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 200-759-7.
