Douglas is a perfect 10-0 against Glenrock since August of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. Glenrock took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Douglas, who comes in off a win.
Douglas had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Newcastle on Friday. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Dogies with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Dogies: they've now won five in a row.
Douglas never let Newcastle on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-22.

Douglas found their leader in sophomore Kendrie Ewing, who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Ewing.
Douglas was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Glenrock came up short against Buffalo last Saturday and fell 3-1. The Herders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Glenrock might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Buffalo: every set was decided by two points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 24-26, 28-26.
Douglas' win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Glenrock, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
Douglas took their victory against Glenrock when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Herders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
