Softball Recap: Red Bank Catholic Has No Trouble Against Red Bank Regional

Red Bank Catholic never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Red Bank Regional Bucs with a sharp 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Caseys, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sophia Lasater and Jayden Kane did most of the damage at the plate: Lasater fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3, while Kane went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Kane a new career-high. Brianna Santangelo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Red Bank Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive games.

Red Bank Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Red Bank Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
