Piedmont had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Grant on Friday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Generals a 6-0 shutout. Considering Piedmont have won five games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Piedmont is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for Grant, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.
