They will  take on the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.  The team  relied heavily on  Joey Ghirardi, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.  Jack Penchuk was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base.
 Meanwhile, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill fell victim to The Burlington School and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. Their  rough  10-0 defeat to the Spartans  might stick with them for a while. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Thales Academy Apex's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-10-1.
 Thales Academy Apex beat Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill 6-2  when the teams last played  on April 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thales Academy Apex since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
