They walked away with a 48-40 victory over Ada. Given Jones' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Ada is ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ada lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sadie Epps, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Abbey Strong, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Jones is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Ada, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.
Jones won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Classen SAS on January 20th. As for Ada, Ada and Heritage Hall will face off at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
