Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, O'Bannon beat Leland 24-18 last Friday. No one put up better numbers for O'Bannon than senior Marvel Sanders, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 259 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after a dominant victory in their match two weeks ago, West Bolivar were humbled. They were given a punishing 8-46 defeat at the hands of South Delta. The state rankings had actually given West Bolivar a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The last time the two teams met, O'Bannon were close but not close enough the last time the two teams met as they fell 20-22 to West Bolivar. Can O'Bannon avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
