A feisty cat fight will be fought as Clewiston Tigers take on Cypress Lake Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clewiston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
While Clewiston didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let Pahokee get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won eight in a row.
Kaden Langston looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on William Bussott, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Milian, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Cypress Lake came up short against IMG Academy Gold on Friday, falling 7-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cypress Lake also got a good showing from Eduardo Rosales, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Cypress Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Skaggs, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Jack Peterson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Cypress Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Clewiston, their record is now 6-2.
Cypress Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clewiston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Cypress Lake, though, as they've only averaged .339. Will they be able to contain Clewiston's hitters?
Clewiston might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Cypress Lake when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Clewiston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
