Cherokee was the clear victor by a 57-34 margin over the Raiders. Given Cherokee's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Raiders are ranked 163rd), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ocean City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Casey Admason, who scored eight points. McKenna Chisholm was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Cherokee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Ocean City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

As for Ocean City, they will head out on the road to take on the Bucs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
