Sayre will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Frederick at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Sayre, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They took down Mooreland 21-6.
Frederick had a rough outing against Wellington, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Frederick put a hurting on Velma-Alma to the tune of 46-8. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-0.
Their wins bumped Sayre to 1-2 and Frederick to 2-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Sayre and Frederick clash.
