Lee Qualk's Big Game Leads California over Carmichaels
Starting off the list is California's Lee Qualk, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. While Ben Hays delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Bentworth. Hays was unstoppable, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 105 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also made nine total tackles and defended a pass.
Hays and Bentworth will venture away from home to face off against Jefferson-Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Hays up against the Rockets' star receiver Deakyn Dehoet. Houston Guesman's big game helped extend Jefferson-Morgan's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Guesman as he threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.
