The Seven Rivers Christian Warriors can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Hernando Christian Academy at home to the tune of 63-16. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-9.
Leading Seven Rivers Christian to victory were Jurisah Bailey and Annalise De beer. Bailey scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while De beer almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. De beer is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joy Sullivan, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Seven Rivers Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Hernando Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seven Rivers Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Mitchell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 last Saturday. As for Hernando Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Hudson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hudson is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
