Baseball Recap: Canyon View Has No Trouble Against Lake Oswego

Canyon View had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lake Oswego on Thursday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lakers. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Josiah Rodriguez tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Santoyo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Yuriar, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Canyon View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five strikeouts batters in four consecutive matches.

Canyon View's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Lake Oswego, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Canyon View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-10 win against Thurston on the 28th. As for Lake Oswego, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Jesuit on the 1st.
