Hartsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over May River. The Red Foxes haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

At the plate, Hartsville let Carter Shumate and Myah Harvey run wild. Shumate went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Harvey went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Shumate has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, South Florence faced Gray Collegiate Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bruins came up short against the War Eagles, falling 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hartsville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like South Florence struggles in that department as they've averaged .456. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hartsville came out on top in a nail-biter against South Florence in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Red Foxes repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
